How to Kickflip Crooked Grind!

Our head skate coach Coyote Rob breaks it down in today's trick tip tutorial!

The kickflip backside crooked grind! Let's break it down step-by-step. First, approach the feature at a parallel angle and with a fair amount of speed. Next, compress your body and get ready to pop the ollie while spotting your entry point for the crooked grind as you are making the approach to the obstacle. As you are getting closer to the feature, get ready to pop an ollie high enough to get your trucks over the grinding edge.

Once you pop your tail, use your shoulders to guide your front truck towards the edge that you are looking to grind. Control the ollie with your front foot and get ready to transfer all of your weight onto the nose of the board when you land. Next, land with your weight on your front foot and lock in your truck and wheel against the grinding edge. Lift your back foot up and hold the position, controlling the grind with your back foot. Keep grinding for as long as you can and then spot your landing. As you come to the end of your grind, prepare to nollie out and clear the end of the ledge. Flick a nollie out of the crooked grind and control your descent with your feet staying level. Land with all four wheels down at once and bend your knees to absorb the impact and then roll away at speed.
